1. Everybody Loves Christmas by Eddie Money & Ronnie Spector
Our second set of songs begins with a holiday nod to one of the beloved pop stars we lost in 2019 — Eddie Money. This song was featured in The Santa Clause 2 and is another song that can immediately get the Christmas music listening party started for me early on in the Christmas season. Ronnie Spector even ends the song by bringing back her Ronettes’ signature “whoa-oh-oh-oh-ooooooh” as featured in her more famous collaboration with Mr. Money.
2. Love In Snow by Steve Everett
I received a Sirius XM subscription for my birthday last year — just in time for Christmas stations to appear on the service. I found this soothing little ditty on the Acoustic Christmas channel. I’m not sure they actually say the word Christmas, but it has all the requisite lyrical imagery otherwise.
3. Just Like Snow by Kris Allen
As long as we’re on the subjects of love, snow and satellite radio, here’s another song I found in my Sirius Christmas travels last year. I also just looked at the album from which this came, and it appears that there are other original Christmas songs on it, including a…
